What is Easyfundraising?
Launched in 2005, Easyfundraising has redefined what it means to give back by turning “your
daily shopping into everyday magic!” They’ve partnered with over 8,100 brands and 180 000 charities, built a community of over 2 million supporters, and raised over a phenomenal £42 million for thousands of UK causes. Some of the biggest brands you can find on the platform are
eBay, Apple, Argos, John Lewis, ASOS, Booking.com, and M&S.
How are funds raised?
Funds are raised by brands paying Easyfundraising a commission, and a percentage of this goes to your chosen charity. Once you purchase your items, at least 50% of the commission will be donated. You can only support one charity at a time, but you can change this as often as you like.
The commision amount will typically be based on a percentage of your purchase amount. However, certain brands, like those in the service industry, may charge a flat rate.

- On the Easyfundraising website or app, choose Woody’s Lodge as the cause you’re supporting & sign up
- Download the donation reminder plug-in on your phone or PC (it automatically pops up once you’re signed up)
- While you’re browsing the web, the plug-in automatically sends you reminders when you visit shopping sites that support Woody’s Lodge
- The reminders stay active and run in the background as long as you’re signed into your account
With your account created and plug-in installed, simply shop as normal while brands give back to our Veterans. It doesn’t get easier than that!

As we’ve discussed in a previous blog, we’re struggling to continue our work in the Veteran community as the cost of living rises. Our donations have been gradually decreasing from both individuals and corporations, and this has left us in a tough place.
