Our Support for Veterans & Families Helps Thousands Each Year
Each year, our support for Veterans helps thousands of deserving ex-service personnel and families across Wales with form filling, medical referrals, benefit applications & appeals, & much more. Since 2018, our Welfare Team has drawn down £1.0 million (+) in public benefits via DWP & Armed Forces Pensions & Disability Payments.
We understand it can be difficult to reach out and ask for help, especially if you’ve become accustomed to doing everything on your own. Many of our beneficiaries struggle to re-engage with their local councils & communities once they return from service. This unfortunately means they don’t always have all of the support & help they are entitled to, especially when dealing with finances, housing, NHS referrals, benefits & pension claims, as well as re-offending or coming out of prison.
We’ve recognised this & encourage Veterans & Reservists leavers, as well as Emergency Service personnel to access the resources we have available. Woody’s Lodge & our support for Veterans is always here for you. We are a social hub where you can get the help that you need and start the journey to a new life post-service.
