Armed Forces Support at Woody's Lodge

Project 360 Conference: Supporting Older Veterans in Wales

Woody’s Lodge were absolutely delighted to be a part of the Project 360 conference at Cardiff City Stadium last week: Supporting Older Veterans in Wales 2019.

The day was absolutely packed with a combination of speakers, interactive workshops and chances for networking, information and ideas sharing; all focused on the older Armed Forces and Veterans community! Plus, the event was opened by Deputy Minister for Housing, Hannah Blythyn AM.

Our own CEO, Dr David Trotman, gave a talk on the inspiration and journey of Woody’s Lodge and how we came to be involved with Project 360°. Plus, Paramedic, Ian “Sarge” Price, gave an inspirational talk about being a veteran, paramedic and his own personal struggles of 40 years around trauma.

Project 360°is a national partnership project between us here at Woody’s Lodge, Age Cymru and Age Alliance Wales, to ensure that the right support is given to older military veterans across Wales.

The day was absolutely amazing, and we loved the opportunity to meet with everyone and learn and share more about supporting and engaging with older veterans.
