A huge thank you to Military Medals and Books!

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that a lovely shop in Bedford, Military Medals and Books, opened on the 7 November and they will be donating all of their profits to us here at Woody’s Lodge!

Run by Chris Murphy, Military Medals & Books (Bedford) has been set up to support our work, ensuring that we can continue to support our veterans, emergency service leavers and their families and we couldn’t be more grateful for such an amazing gift!

Collecting medals, military books and militaria is a fascinating hobby, not only is it memorabilia but it also helps to develop an interest in our Armed Forces and history, geography and social developments around the world. 

Like so many of us here at Woody’s Lodge, Chris is a veteran, he was an Officer in the British Army. He understands the impact of adjusting to civilian life and the strain this can put on families; in particular if the veterans come home with some health difficulties. 

We would like to say a huge, huge thank you to Chris and the team at Military Medals and Books! Your support means so much to us.
