Woody’s Lodge awarded two grants from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust!
Here at Woody’s Lodge, we are absolutely thrilled at the news that we have been awarded two major Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust grants through “Positive Pathways” and “Removing Barriers to Family Life” that will enable us to develop our work across Wales over the next 2 years! On behalf of all staff, volunteers and the many, many veterans & families and our armed forces colleagues, I am delighted to announce that we have landed two major grants from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust.
It is an amazing opportunity that these monies will deliver for us. The first grant is to support our work and to develop our new family farm centre in Ceredigion Farm. Also working with The Wye Forward to offer respite for armed forces families in the Hay-on-Wye area. It is an amazing breakthrough and development for us as a charity that’s transforming itself into supporting the wider family, not just the families of veterans but also the families of those serving with the armed forces.
The major grant, which is the larger of the two, will enable the charity to now to really develop itself and extend our reach right across Wales and to deliver more and more work to support wider family initiatives. It also enables us to work more closely with our current partners such as the NHS, Veteran Mental Health Services, Change Step, SSCE Cymru, TGP and many others.
It is an incredible opportunity for us to deliver more support for the armed forces families, not only at the Amelia Trust Farm and with our partners here but it will also allow us to extend our services right across Wales.
