Our Charity Fundraising Ball Raises an Astounding £15,322 for Our Veterans!
On the evening of October 25th, 2024, we gathered at the magnificent HMS Cambria for our annual charity fundraising ball, organised by Pinnacle Complete Office Solutions. The event was a resounding success, bringing together 146 attendees for a night filled with camaraderie, celebration, and unwavering support for veterans.
Inspiring Speeches and Veteran Support Services Initiatives
Throughout the evening, we heard inspiring words from key speakers who took to the stage to discuss veteran fundraising initiatives and how they have assisted Welsh veterans this year. Speakers also highlighted significant charity fundraising events to look forward to in the upcoming months. Our speakers for the night included Clive Hamilton, Dr. David Trotman, Mark Hodgkinson, and Graham Jones, our CEO. Their insights and dedication to veteran support energised the audience, emphasising the importance of our collective efforts.
Highlights of the Fundraising Ball: Raffle and Auction Success
At the charity fundraising ball, two major fundraising initiatives took centre stage: a raffle and a live auction, featuring an array of impressive prizes. The celebrity auctioneer for the evening, Jamie Breeze, added an extra layer of excitement to the proceedings.
Attendees had the chance to win coveted items, such as two tickets to the Oasis concert, limited edition bottles of spirits, a signed Wales rugby ball, and a sealed bid auction with numerous smaller prizes. Each participant received a sheet indicating their maximum bid, allowing for spirited competition and a lively atmosphere as bids were placed for the incredible selection of items on offer.
