Army Benevolent Fund supports Woody's Lodge charity

Woody’s Lodge Receives £20,000 Support from the Army Benevolent Fund

We are incredibly grateful to share that Woody’s Lodge has been awarded £20,000 in core funding from the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF).

This support comes at a vital time for our Veteran’s charity. As demand for our services continues to grow across Wales, funding like this allows us to keep our doors open and continue providing consistent, meaningful support to veterans, emergency service personnel, and their families.

Core funding is often the hardest type of funding for charities to secure, but it is also the most important. It enables us to cover the essential day-to-day costs that keep Woody’s Lodge running, from maintaining our safe and welcoming spaces, to supporting our staff and volunteers who are there every day for those who need us.

Unlike project funding, which is usually restricted to specific activities, this funding gives us the flexibility to respond where the need is greatest. Whether that’s offering peer mentoring, running drop-in sessions, supporting individuals in crisis, or simply providing a place where someone can come for a brew and a conversation, this funding helps make it possible.

The Army Benevolent Fund has a long history of supporting soldiers, veterans, and their families, and we are proud to be working alongside an organisation that shares our commitment to ensuring no one faces life’s challenges alone.

On behalf of everyone at Woody’s Lodge, and the community we support, thank you. Your support is making a real difference.
